Is this the commuter coffee-carry solution you’ve been looking for? The Topeak Modula Java cage features an adjustable cage height and diameter to fit large tumblers and insulated mugs. It looks like it could even accommodate insulated stainless steel water bottles.
As a daily bike commuter, I carry coffee or water with me daily using an insulated stainless steel water bottle or mug. My pack of choice, the Looptworks Springwater Rolltop Pack, features dual water bottle pockets that hold a full size bottle securely. However, it would be nice to have the option to carry them on the bike. (We’re not fans of the bar mounted models, as they don’t feel very secure on rough terrain)
Unfortunately, traditional water bottle cages mar the power coating on stainless bottles quickly. (mine rattle quite loudly on my commute as well) Someone had to be making a decent coffee cup holder for a bike… the Modula Java cage looks like the best solution we’ve discovered.
The Modula Java cage features an engineering grade plastic cage and a rubber adjustable strap to secure the precious cargo and is designed to accommodate 12 and 16 oz coffee tumblers securely on rough roads. It’s adjustable for height and width; the upper fits items 2.9-3.5″ and the lower fits 2.4-3.1″.
The Modula Java Cage sells for $15.99 Learn more at Topeak.com or order one now at Amazon.com
