Check out what we saw on the slopes of Whister, while on our vacation there! It looks kind of like a Rocky Mountain Flatline, but just a bit different. Besides the obvious, the different less hydroformed downtube, it appears to have a slightly shorter wheelbase, as well as a steeper headtube angle. My guess is like the new Driver 8 from Santa Cruz (especially when compared to the DH racer V10), this new prototype is aimed at being more of a park bike, perfect for shredding your local ski hill, and boosting some sick jumps. I have a feeling it gets a lot more than 3ft. of air though…
In fact, I know so! I followed one of these bikes down the hill and spotted some major ripping, with fat whips, manuals, and suicide no handers thrown at abandon… The test rider had some riding skills, for sure.
Also spotted, check out the new Atlas bars from Race Face.. low and wide.. the way we like it.
This is almost as cool as the unlabled, unmarked, obviously a prototype Santa Cruz Blur that we saw a few months back in SC… although that Blur had big (29″ ) wheels on it..
