Rally for single track in Portland Tuesday April 20th

Portland Parks and Recreation is holding a community open house Tuesday, April 20, 5:30–7:30 PM at the Holiday Inn Express, 2333 NW Vaughn. The Northwest Trails Alliance has put out the call to support our fellow riders who have put in countless volunteer hours to try and get us more single track in Forest Park, and give our input on their proposals.

The goal is to get as many people to show up on bikes as possible. If you are tired of this:

Come down and support Mr. Archer and the Forest Park Single Track Cycling Advisory Committee.

Personally I’m disgusted by what the city considers a “trail.” Where I’m from, we call ’em logging roads. As in for trucks. Not bikes.

This is a perfect example of what could be in Forest Park: a former “road” converted into this beautiful thing we mountain bikers like to refer as “single track.”

If you want it, come out and show your support.
