While Newell Creek Canyon doesn’t feature a lot of trail mileage, it’s a big deal when a bike-friendly multi-use trail system is created near population centers here in Oregon. Especially when you consider most park trails managed by Metro aren’t bicycle-friendly. We also need more suitable places to take young kids while they’re learning how to mountain bike.

A nice neighborhood destination, thanks to the 205 bike path, it could also be a nice change of pace for experienced cross-country mountain bikers and gravel riders looking for a new destination or adding it to a longer ride.
