While we were initially drawn to the Gestalt X10 and it’s wallet-friendly price point, it was the ample amount of seat post available for a dropper that caught our eye. Billed as the mountain biker’s dropbar bike, the Marin Gestalt features a simplified 1x drivetrain and dropper post routing, it features tire clearance for up to 700c x 45 tires or 650b x 47 road plus tires.
Disc brakes and through axles are standard these days for a quality gravel ride, and the frame has rack and fender mounts that add versatility.
The X10 edition features a 10-speed drive train and an entry-level price, but the X11 bumps everything up to a level of quality that won’t need upgrades for some time, with a Shimano GRX 11-speed drive train and BRX400 hydraulic disc brakes paired to STI shift lever and an integrated dropper lever.
The Gestalt x11 lists for $2199. Learn more at MarinBikes.com
