Part of me wants to put everything down and drive up to Virgin, Utah right now to see the awesome that is going on. At first I was planning to be there, and then I figured I wasn’t. But then it looked like it was going to happen. And then the budget for the trip fell through. Somehow I ended up in the hi plains anyway, only hours away, but at this point, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. I guess I can’t complain about the lack of dehydration and sunburns too much, or another night spent sleeping in the car, surrounded by gear. Or about having to clean dust out of every nook and cranny, much less the image sensor of my camera. Since there are bound to be a million other dudes with cameras lining the course, driving up on my own dime doesn’t seem to be a sound investment. But that’s ok, although I’m not scrambling on the hillside struggling with my camera gear, I’m keeping up online via Facebook and Twitter updates from athletes and friends, as well as content posted on the RedBull site.
