Our go-to stove for camping and off-grid cooking is a propane-fueled stove. However, the fuel canisters stack up over time, and finding a place to recycle them is a frustrating proposition at best. A company called GoSun offers a green alternative with the Solar Kitchen.
Offering products for off-grid cooking, refrigeration, power and more, GoSun has developed a line of creating products like the Solar Oven, powered off free energy from the sun. The Solar Oven collects light from the sun to bake, roast, and steam a meal in 20 minutes in direct sunlight. That wouldn’t be useful much of the year in the PNW, so GoSun offers a Fusion version that runs on both sunshine of 12 volt power for use on cloudy days or at night.
The ideal setup is their Solar Kitchen, which features the SolarTable 60 with an integrated solar panel that can charge devices like laptops and cameras or power stations for power at night without the noise pollution of gas powered generators.

Available as separate components or bundles, the GoSun product line is a bit of an investment for weekend warriors, but for those living off-grid full time, could be an investment in green energy that pays for itself.
