It’s finally happened. Fixed gear freestyle has evolved again, to the point its not even fixed anymore, it’s just freestyle.
From 20″ to 700c FGFS, to 26″ FGFS, to just… 26″ BMX. It has got to be almost 10 years since guys like Eric Porter and Aaron Chase made their names riding street on 26″ MTBs, but these days its been about dirt. Urban riding has continued, albeit a bit more underground in various iterations. We know our friend Ramon as a fixed gear freestyler, skater, and occasional BMXer, but recently he built up a new bike with a freewheel.

Does this mean we’re going to see a resurgence in 26″ wheels? (no) Does this mean more street style edits are about to hit? (probably)
Are you confused? I am, but just a little bit. The main thing is after watching this edit, it made me want to hit the street and bust a few manuals and 180 off some curbs, and that’s what a good edit does…
