It’s always amazing to see a trials/ street rider of Danny MacAskill’s level riding his bike. I’ve been on a few rides with incredibly skilled trials riders, and it often just turns into a show. These guys look at features of a city in such a different way from most of us. Where you and I see a bike rack we’ll lock our bike up at, they see a line. Where we see a wall, they see a feature. You might think you’re feeling pretty good about your bunny hops since you managed to get on a picnic table, but then you watch Mr. Trials Pro use it as a starting point, and then it’s sit down and shoot photos on the iPhone time.
In his latest edit we see him take his bag of tricks to our current home turf in SF. I can’t count the number of times I’ve looked at the fountains and imagined what cleaning that line would look like. Danny of course, makes it look easy.
MacAskill’s edits have a way of going viral, and it looks like the marketers on board with mountain biking. Hopefully this means we’ll see a lot more of this stuff.
