Recently Inga invited a lot of riders to come out and ride bikes on some of our favorite trails in the extended Bay Area. Specifically, the trail network near Santa Cruz known as Demonstration Forest. To her surprise, nearly everyone she invited came out. We had over 20 riders in the group made up of members of the Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz, and girls from the BTCEB’s Ride Like a Girl monthly group rides. The girls, many of which had never experienced the trails of Demonstration Forest, received a guided tour by members of the group that help maintain the trails. Surprisingly, the group never split up into different skill levels, and everyone had a great time meeting other new riders.
