The Rackham 14″ Classic Cypress paddle board is packed with features to designed to make it a fishing platform, with ABS plastic combined with durable composites for durability.
The board features a number of mounting points for a cooler/seat, sand spear straps, a rack system for holding fishing rods, and even has a paddle holder at the nose of the board. There is even a place to stash your keys or hold your beer. It’s also compatible with smaller fins to allow travel in shallower waters.

Paddling the Bote
When standing on the Rackham, it feels completely stable – especially in comparison with a 14′ x 24″ race hardboard. With all the features and mounts, it makes for a solid platform for carrying gear.
The downside of the large/wide platform and ultra durable construction is it is noticeably heavy, which translates into a relatively slow acceleration from a stop. It did glide well once up to speed though, and the wide platform felt completely stable in choppy conditions.
Transporting the board could be challenging for smaller paddlers – though Bote offers a number of accessories to facilitate carry and transport, and there is an available shoulder strap for portaging.
It’s not the board for everyone, but for those looking for a solid platform for paddle board fishing, expeditions, or simply want to carry a ton of gear, the stable platform, features, and versatility make it a unique solution.
The Bote Rackham Classic Cypress SUP retails for $2,349. Check out the lineup of Bote Paddle boards at BoteBoard.com.
