Huge traction via oversize rubber is trending this year. Plus bikes, fat bikes and wide rims offer increased air volume and mad traction, but unless you happen to have a compressor in your garage, you’ll be spending a lot more time pumping up tires.
Blackburn’s answer to big rubber is the Chamber HV floor pump. Purpose built for mountain bike tires, it features an oversized barrel to let you quickly dial in tire pressures with an oversized 4″ gauge that’s easy to see.
The hose is 47″ long to allow pumping tires with the bikes mounted in repair stands or car racks. The pump has a stout, durable build, and the smart head is compatible with presta and schrader valves. The stand out feature to us though, is the option to optimize the smart head for long or short presta valves, an option I sorely wish my current pumps had.
