9Point8 has introduced the IVNRS, their new inverted pedal pedal system that moves the spikey pins from the pedal and places them into the sole of your riding shoes.
If you hate getting bloody shins from your pedals, this might be the innovation you’ve been looking for. Relocating the studs to your shoe also has the benefit of improving the traction of your shoes… but don’t let mom catch you wearing them in the house!
Studded pin kits are available for adding studs to flat pedal shoes as well as a bolt on cleat-style attachment for SPD compatible shoes.
As the rubber on the pedals is a wear and tear item, 9point8 will also have iNVRS rubber repair pedal rebuild kits for $12 and up. The iNVRS pedal sells for $69, with the stud kits sold separately.
